Bossard began working with the ship F/V Sunset a 65' halibut-schooner and was later converted into a salmon tender for Murat Aritan who was employed as a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard was married to Aritan in 1999 and the pair have come together to fight for their business. They support conservative and profitable renewable seafood resource management. In 2007, the mother of two children Bella aged 3 as well as Andre 1 Bossard before returning to her home in Philadelphia, opened a direct market wholesale distributor of seafood named Otolith.
